About Big Pine Festival
Big Pine Comedy Festival was founded in 2015 as an independent festival based in Flagstaff, Arizona. In 2017, Broken Drift Productions took over the production of the event and has proudly continued to grow and evolve the festival ever since.
Originally hosted in the scenic mountains of Flagstaff, Big Pine remained there until the fall of 2020, when it adapted to the changing landscape of live events and transitioned to a virtual format. In 2021, Big Pine officially became a traveling, or “floating” festival, bringing its signature blend of comedy, education, and industry connection to new venues across the Southwest.
We are grateful to our host clubs for their continued support and generosity over the years:
- October 2021: House of Comedy (Phoenix, AZ)
- May & October 2022: Mic Drop Comedy (San Diego)
- September 2023: Mic Drop Chandler
- September 2024: Mic Drop Comedy Chandler
- April 2025: Mic Drop Comedy Chandler
Since 2017, Broken Drift Productions has remained committed to providing genuine, career-building opportunities for comics through Big Pine. Our mission is rooted in creating space for comedian education, high-caliber performances, and real industry relationships that last.
Each year, the festival features a growing roster of industry professionals—club owners, bookers, talent reps, managers, and producers—who attend to connect with and discover new talent. In addition to the festival, our team produces quarterly Comedy Camp events, further deepening our dedication to education and community-building.
Big Pine Comedy Festival is proud to partner annually with respected industry leaders including Laughs Unlimited, Mic Drop Comedy, Mic Drop Management Group, John Tobin Presents, Stir Crazy Comedy Club and many more.
Together, we’re building a future in comedy that values professionalism, progress, and opportunity—for everyone on the stage and behind it.
